The second ECPHRF counter regatta of the year is this weekend’s SPSC Invitational. All ECPHRF boats and area boats from DRYA and ILYA are invited to race.
The regatta consists of three races: a 14.0 mile “long-distance” race on Saturday (warning signal 3:55 pm) and two 7.0 mile “modified-Olympic” courses on Sunday (warning signal 9:55 am).
While the body of competitive racing is on Saturday, July 1st and Sunday, July 2nd, should you wish to make more of a weekend of it, there are many additional activities that are sure to keep you occupied. These include a social barbeque and bonfire on Friday evening, a regatta party following the race on Saturday (Canada Day), Sunday breakfast, and awards party on Sunday afternoon – you are welcome to any or all of these events.
The channel depth on Pike Creek is approximately 7 ft. and dockage is free for those participating in the regatta.
