The 2016 CIYC Labour Day Regatta consists of two unique events, which are described below. Registration for the either or both events can be done through the completion of the following form:
Rumb Line Race:
On Saturday September 3, racers from the western basin of Lake Erie will run from the mouth of the Detroit river to the finish line off Cedar Island. This is a classic drag race, often downwind, where the successful racers negotiate the vagaries of shore effects, wind shifts and wave sets.
The post race festivities at Cedar Island are renowned for the traditional steak Bar-B-Que set on the cool tree spackled lawn of the CIYC grounds.

Labour Day Race:
CIYC has been proudly hosting this race for over 40 years.
On Sunday September 4 the racers will negotiate a medium distance race in the challenging conditions of Pigeon Bay. The start and finish will be off the entrance to Cedar Creek.
The post race festivities and award presentations will follow with a pizza and salad offering.
