The 2017 Essex County PHRF Boat of the Year championship schedule was confirmed at the AGM held on February 26th.
New for this year will be the addition of the Grosse Ile Yacht Club’s Downriver Race on Saturday July 29th- an 18 nautical mile course that starts off the tip of Belle Isle and finishes in front of the Grosse Ile Yacht Club. The race has traditionally been a feeder race for the Lake Erie August regattas including Bay Week. Racers have the choice of staying at the Detroit Yacht Club on Friday night and enjoying the club’s facilities.
